If you can survive the initial onslaught of players falling there, or better yet, work together, the solution is within reach. How to find the secret door in Fortnite.
Fortnite Shuffled Shrines secret door location
Entering the secret door behind the main chamber is a multi-step process that doesn’t lend itself to being solved while other players are fighting around you – those location-specific challenges always make landing spots really hot for the first day or so. When you land at Shuffled Shrines, the new POI east of Rocky Reels, try stocking up on some items and then hide or fight your way to safety.
Once the dust settles, you’ll find a locked stone door in the center of the location. In front of it are four rocks that can be rotated and show a strange symbol on each side. To open the door, you must rotate the bricks so that each one on the side facing away from the door shows the correct symbol. The important thing to note here is this the solution changes in each round.
But that’s okay, because whatever the solution may be in your particular round, there’s one nearby too. Scattered around Shuffled Shrines are four rocks next to glowing white lights sticking out of the ground. If you’re close, you’ll hear them hum. You need to find these four rocks and memorize the symbols on each of them (or take a picture with your phone). Find the rocks in the following locations:
- Underground in the southwest
- Ground level in the northwest
- Under a makeshift red tent to the northeast
- Under a ground level platform in the Middle East
On the map below we’ve marked where these rocks are and numbered them in the order you’d like to remember them. Use these four symbols to go to the central rock door. Rotate the bricks on the central door so that the icons on that spot match the icons you found around the POI. The southwest symbol is first from the left, the northwest symbol is second, the northeast symbol is third, and the east-central symbol is last. With those four stones set to show the correct symbols in the correct order, the main chamber opens… but you’re not done yet.
As you walk down the foyer sprint past the rubble or carefully step over the floor traps (dark tiles) or you’ll get hit by arrows all the way down. If you’re below 200 health you’ll kill these arrows, but you can survive them if you’re at 200 HP and only let each arrow segment hit you once, which you can do by sprinting down the hallway.
Once inside the chamber you will see an artifact – a shiny golden tomato head. Pick it up to see the chamber start shaking violently, but don’t worry, there are no more booby traps coming your way. Instead of this, Look for thick green plants and vines on the wall to the right of the artifact.
As you approach it, you’ll see that you can actually go through them to another hallway. Jump through the crack in the wall to your left, or smash the now-broken wall (thanks to the shaking) yourself reveals the secret room, which will be complete with two rare chests. Good job, Indy. Another adventure has been completed, and this time you didn’t even lose your hat.
