iPhone 14, Apple Watch Series 8, more

In less than two months, Apple will likely hold its traditional September event. If the company follows the trend, this will be the most important keynote of the year. Although there are several products that Apple could be preparing, there are two that people are most anticipating, the iPhone 14 series and the Apple Watch Series 8. Here’s what Apple can announce at its September event.

iPhone 14 at the Apple September Event

The iPhone 14 series will be the star of the Apple September event. With four new models set to be launched, expect plenty of hype from a new iPhone 14 Plus/Max. Although the regular models won’t differ much from the current iPhone 13 generation, a larger model is a nice addition.

Expect big changes for the iPhone 14 Pro at the Apple September event, as previously reported by 9to5Mac. A new design, a better processor and huge improvements on the camera side. The iPhone 14 series will likely be one of Apple’s biggest launches in years.

Three new Apple Watches are coming

Apple September Event

BloombergMark Gurman has reported that Apple will unveil three new Apple Watch models in 2022, which he describes as the most important update to the Watch in years.

These watches could be unveiled at the Apple September event. The Apple Watch Series 8 at least gets a new body temperature sensor and better battery life. The Apple Watch SE is likely to be updated, while Apple is also preparing a rugged “Pro” version of the current watch with a different design and premium build.

AirPods Pro 2 at the Apple September event

AirPods Pro recall

In addition to the iPhone 14 series and new Apple Watch models, Apple could present the new AirPods Pro 2 at its September event.

With a similar design to the current generation, 9to5Mac Sources confirm that the next AirPods Pro model – codenamed B698 – will feature the next version of the H1 chip, Apple’s own audio processor. Additionally, hints at LC3 codec support in the AirPods Max beta firmware tease that AirPods Pro 2 could be the first to add Bluetooth 5.2 support.

This codec brings more stability and efficiency to the wireless earbuds. In addition, this new standard will help AirPods Pro 2 improve the sound quality for voice calls and songs with higher bitrate support. While low-energy Bluetooth and the LC3 codec don’t promise “lossless Bluetooth,” they will certainly improve sound quality significantly.

Apple Mixed Reality Headset

Rumors about the Apple Mixed Reality Headset have ramped up over the past year. During Apple’s September event, the company could be reviving Steve Jobs’ “One More Thing” phrase to tease the company’s upcoming mixed reality headset.

Rumors are currently assuming that it will already be presented at the end of this year and will go on sale from 2023. The Apple September event could be the perfect time for Apple to announce to the public that it is entering a new market.

For example, earlier this year the company announced without further details that it was working on a new Mac Pro.

New Macs and iPads could come a little later

Apple September Event

Apple is also expected to unveil several new Macs and at least two iPads in 2022. While the company unveiled a new MacBook Pro in October, Apple could prepare another keynote a month later to unveil new Macs and iPads.

in the today’s newsletter, BloombergMark Gurman said Apple will have new Mac minis and high-end MacBook Pros later this year. 9to5Mac Sources have already confirmed that Apple is working on the tenth generation of the base model iPad and a new iPad Pro.

When will Apple hold its September event?

Apple usually holds its events on a Tuesday. If the company follows the trend of the past few years, the keynote could take place on September 13 since it’s the second Tuesday of the month.

While nothing is confirmed – and there are no rumors about the possible date – it’s common sense that this could be the perfect time for the company to unveil the iPhone 14, Apple Watch Series 8 and more.

With WWDC 2022 having a hybrid experience, Apple may finally be preparing the first in-person event of the year for the iPhone 14 release.
